Description
Firefighting is the act of attempting to prevent the spread of and extinguish significant unwanted fires in buildings, vehicles, and woodlands. A firefighter suppresses fires to protect lives, property and the environment.
Fire Hydrant System
Hydrant is in fire (vertical riser and courtyard line). Fire hydrant system is a water supply with a sufficient pressure and flow delivered through pipes throughout a building to strategically located network of valves for fire-fighting purposes.
Sprinkler System
A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection method, consisting of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected.
Pump Room
A fire pump is a part of fire sprinkler, internal and external hydrant system’s water supply and can be powered by electric, diesel pump. The pump intake is connected to independent fire pump. The pump provides water flow at a higher pressure to the sprinkler system, risers and hose stand pipes.
Detection system and alarm system
A fire alarm system is basically a network of initiating devices and notification devices connected to a fire alarm control panel. This is used to alert people of an emergency in a building.
Fire Extinguisher
A fire extinguisher is a device which can be used to control a fire. Fire extinguisher can be help remove the fire and may stop it fromburning. Depending on the size some fire extinguishers can becarried around and operated by land. There are different kinds of fire extinguishers: ABC, DCP, CO2, Water CO2, mechanical foam, clean agent.
